North Up on Satnav

Although the manual clearly shows a picture of 'North up' setting whilst receiving satnav guidance, every time I use the satnav for a journey, I can only select 2D or 3D. As ex serviceman, north up is the only way to read a map! Am I missing a trick here please?

You don’t say whether you have single or the new twin screens, on my single screen , I have N, 2D,and 3D. on same touch button.Like you couldn’t follow anything not North up !

I'm the same. Pretty sure I just scrolled through #1 in the pic below (each prod moved it to the next option) to change to 'North Up' when I changed mine last weekend.

At work I use N up all the time on radar and ECDIS but much prefer head up on my in-car Navigation screen so the road is orientated to what I see out of the windscreen! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yep that is the page I mentioned in first post. It clearly shows satnav is 'on a journey' and that N up is selected. I can't do that!! As soon as I set a journey, it reverts to 2D

Answered my own question! Page 227 (of my manual) states that IF AUTO ZOOM selected when under guidance and the next guidance point is within approx 8.8km, only 2d and 3d are available. Outside that distance, North up if previously selected.
