The Yanks have got it all

Not only is the Landrover website for the Yanks WAY better than the UK version (Still got the Vehicle builder, also got nice Heritage videos section and Past Vehicles) but the prices are ridiculous.

A brand new Supercharged Sport is the equivalent of ...wait for it.............

Its not fair! UK is a ripoff for everything! Big Cry Evil or Very Mad Its £65k for a brand new S/C? £30k saving!!!! I say we blaim Tony Blair and bring back my good friend Mrs Thatcher but yeah Very Happy Laughing
Now we know why they can afford to fuel the thirsty beasts! They're saving £30k on fuel!! And they're fuel is cheaper...no offence to any americans but you complain at the prices we could only dream of Very Happy

Thats unbelievable, I think I'll have to have a look at the US site now Razz Michael Potter

And LR are meant to be a British marque... all very disappointing. It's the same for all European cars though. It's ironically much cheaper to buy them out there simply down to the taxation. Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

This country has long since gone to the dogs. And they wonder why people are leaving in droves!

The HSE model will practically every option is only £34,441.

Sickening.....

A Full Fat Range Rover Supercharged is also only £47,430... that's £27,390 cheaper than UK List price.

tbh the 'real' cost is around the same for them (for the car, not fuel)

Actually another way similar to what your saying tax wise is what we were planning on doing is for example if you are an xpat (in UAE anyway) you can buy a car there, keep it for 6 months as a personal car and when you ship it back you can shove off a huuge chunk of the taxes Very Happy Michael Potter

Depends what you do. IT worker wages tend to be higher in the US than they are here. And cost of living is regional... if you decide to live in Orange County or in the DC metropolitan area, expect big costs. Elsewhere, I'd be better off living in the US, doing the job that I do (I know this because I nearly moved to the US a while ago and did a fair amount of research around it).

That's my experience anyway - I expect someone out there will show me where that isn't the case Wink

Yep, it's not Land Rover's fault, it's all about taxation and politics. At least the Yanks have the sense to keep their borders tightly closed and not welcome-in eastern european pikeys and third world rubbish!!! Banging Head
