Oh, ****, these Duratrac tyres aren't as tough as you'd think... Big Cry One ripped sidewall, vaguely leaky spare and a slow trip home.

Still, we did see both armoured personnel carriers of the Army in the same place at the same time - the fact we have two (rather than one and two sets of number-plates) is probably a secret, so don't tell anyone (especially Putin, et al).

Apart from bits of trim that fly off at the drop of a hat, this car continues to impress. Thumbs Up

You're not having much luck with tyres on your trips out, are you? Big Cry 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I think I'm cursed. Mind you, I got the wheel off pretty quickly - practice!

The ground was pretty firm and so the flints on the sides of the ruts were like they were concreted in. I think I might have words with Goodyear...

Oh well, another opportunity to lose a tyre this coming weekend too!

Does your RRS have the bigger brakes fitted? Being a relatively early one, I wonder if you could fit the 18inch rims and go for something a bit tougher such BFG KO2. Or even the 17 inch that the very first were available with I believe. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

It's here, James. Wink

Tom took this photo of the Defender and my car is in the background with a bit of tilt going on.

Must use eyes... Rolling Eyes

That looks like good fun, though not sure TOH will let me borrow her RRS for it!

It was all fun, though that part did raise my pulse-rate quite a bit. There are quite a few barriers with a 7' gap to allow vehicles (but not tippers, etc.,) through. That gives a couple of inches on each side, right? Yes, but they have also installed a series of staggered concrete blocks: these have the effect of tipping the car and making it very, very, very close to the upright of the gate Shocked
