JLR have just emailed as my car is over 3 years old now and my subscription for the app and secure features runs out soon. My insurance is very good value but only covers theft of my prized possession of tracking facility in operation.

Cheapest and easiest option to renew JLR subscription at £240 per annum but wondering how good it really is and whether I should spend more than double this on a Tracker and a years monitoring.

Anybody been unlucky enough to have tried out either system?

Got until 25th May to get something sorted, what do you think?

What price are they charging for lifetime (ie a once only payment for the life of the car) - before InControl Secure I had the RAC TrackStar that was LR Approved - I could pay annually or for a one off payment that covered me until I sold the car which was much more reasonable. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I’ve just had a reminder about our evoque running out in May but I’m not renewing for that car but I’m just in the process of renewing for my sport but I’m only renewing the in-control remote for £30 for 12 month,I’m not bothering with the tracker at £240 as my insurance hasn’t ask for one fitting & if the car gets stolen I don’t want it back plus I’ve got gap ins so in 2 year time someone steals it they are doing me a favour. Andy.

Is your insurance that good value that the £240 you're going to have to pay doesn't make it a better deal to just insure elsewhere? £240 is more than half my premium. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB
