Alive agent or alive headquarters?

My 2012 l320 sdv6 is now out of its used approved warranty so have been thinking of having it remapped to try and improve the nonexistent Throttle response pulling out of junctions from standstill.
I'm based in Sussex so are there any recommendations for local Alive tuning agents that people have used and been happy with or do I just have a long day out and go direct to Alive themselves?
Is there any benefit of using the headquarters over an agent ?

Also I've seen a couple of other tuners also offering a gearbox remap, is this something Alive offer or is it included in their update ? Plus is it worth having if it's an extra ? 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

I thought agents still had to remove and send away ECU regardless or can it be done via OBD now? 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

If that's the case then not much point using an agent as would need the car back the same day.
Might as well just use Alive themselves if the Ecu has to be sent to them anyway 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

Watching vids of other places that do this remapping,
they read the cars current parameters by computer,
then take out the ecu open it up and do whatever they do,
put it all back together and put it back into the car..

Then you enjoy the improved
"Increased horsepower
Increased torque
Better throttle response
Smoother power delivery
Safer overtaking"

So no need to send it away.. ===========================================

Some agents have the kit to read/write the ECU on the bench, and turn the job round same day Thumbs Up

Although this is on a Defender, the process much the same Thumbs Up

I'm thinking I might just take it to Alive headquarters and have it done as I like the fact you can have it put on the Dyno to confirm everything is as it should be and also you can see the improvements on paper 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

keep us informed what you do and how the car drives once done,

I am like you and interested to see if it gets rid of the hesitancy
at junctions and roundabouts, when I say hesitancy its more of
a slight delay before she takes off..

but still a little unnerving at times.. ===========================================

The biggest issue for me is the pulling out of junctions as when you first put your foot down it just creeps forward in to oncoming traffic so because not much has happened you push down more on the Throttle pedal and then when it decides to wake up you come out the junction like a lunatic.
I'm hoping this will be resolved with a remap or massively improved. Other than this issue I love the car to bits and don't see the point in changing it as I only do about 5k miles a year due to having a work van and a impractical weekend toy. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

It helps to select Sport mode before a busy round about, but in my experience the map does sort it out Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black
