Restricted Performance!!

Just started my 2010 RRS 3.0 after a week of inactivity and was greeted by RESTRICTED PERFORMANCE message.

I took it for a short drive and everything seems fine, although message will not go away.

Just wondering if a low battery would cause this message to appear. In the 10 months I've had the car i have had no issues.

As a follow up, thought I'd just check the battery and alternator charging..

Battery reading 12v and with the car ticking over the alternator is reading 14.9v which is fine.

Also the warning message has disappeared...hmmmmmm

Sometimes it just does it for the hell of it. If the old "reboot the car" eg cycle the ignition doesn't work, then pop it on a code reader and sometimes there are old codes on there that if you clear them down remove the red triangle issue - your local indie will help you out and advise if any exploration of codes is needed and often won't charge just to read codes and clear/advise.
