2018 Steering Wheel Touch Controls

Can anybody tell me if the new 2019 steering wheel touch controls are backward compatible with MY2014 AB? One of the vendors of eBay reckons they are plug and play, but others say different !!

Has anyone successfully fitted them? Thanks in advance Best Regards

Wow I wouldnt have thought this would work on pre MY18 cars - do let us know if anyone successfully does this..
