Not sure what model to buy

Hoping to get some advice as I am looking to buy my first RRS I was thinking 2012-2013 hse with lux pack with heated steering wheel. Was thinking low mileage 35k- 45k hoping to get one with full dealer history, any information on what to go for or stay away would be appreciated

Main Dealer, with warranty. Also get it in writing that it will 100% cover the crankshaft.
Otherwise stay well clear In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Do a search on this Forum and the sister Forums (See Disco 3 & Disco 4 at bottom of the Home page) for Broken Crankshafts, or Just Crankshafts In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Great cars, had a couple, loved them both. Thumbs Up
But dropped them when extended warranty ran out or circa 50K miles. I would still be driving one now if JLR covered the Crankshaft issues, or made a BIG contribution towards the repair cost once the vehicle was out of warranty. But when it gets to the point that a new Engine costs more than the value of the vehicle Whistle Whistle Big Cry Consequently that's why I am now driving a Velar in Drag Cool In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Looks like the Crankshaft failure can occur at any mileage. Check out Tyrefitter's posts, his car failed just after he sold it to a main Dealer. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
