Thank you. Yes it's really a pitty. I am sure that it would be possible with a software modification but I think LR will not modify any SW of the pre-facelift models... Range Rover Sport HST D350

Hi,

I had this. Issue on my 16MY AB. I just learnt to keep my foot hovering over the accelerator if I thought the ACC was going to mis judge a bend, that overrides the follow mode and you continue smoothly.

I can disable it on my 19MY but still use the same override, it’s easy once you get the feel of it.

Hi Guys.

Been reading this thread since it started. I'm currently away in Portugal right now in my campervan but I know 100% I can turn my ACC off and just have cc on.
I know when I have ACC on it comes up with the Amber vehicle following another one, plus the distance set image. My sport is a MY16 March. To turn it off by memory been over 5 weeks since I have driven it now, I hold I think the extend distance range for a few seconds.

But I Definitely can disable it.

Thanks.

Thought I'd come back to this and yes, you can disable it or at least I can. Press and hold the decrease gap button when in ACC and it'll turn off the radar and put you into normal cruise control. Simples. Ferrari F430 Spider F1

Hi Guys.

Well I'm back from Portugal in my campervan. So as I said earlier I'm sure I could disable ACC with one of the distance buttons I said the increase button but couldn't remember but tried it yesterday after nearly 7 weeks away and as Spleen says you hold the decrease button for about 3-5 seconds and ACC is off. It was Definitely off as it would of hit the car in front if I didnt take action Rolling Eyes

From my signature my sport is a March 2016.

Cheers.

Just wondering would a Hybrid be different as mine is not a MY17?

Cheers.

@naks
Yes, I remember in the beginning of this thread we discussed about it.
I am surprised that it worked on a MY16 from "thomas brown", because my dealer told me that it isn't possible but I will give a 2nd try Range Rover Sport HST D350

'why I am asking: the ACC functionality I don't like. If I drive (on German Autobahn) 160km/h on the left side and going into a left curve, on the right side is a truck - the RRS will slow down strongly.. I find it quite dangerous on such velocities.. '

I had a long drive through Germany (highways) today (about 800km), and I was looking for situations as You describe, driving in the fast lane, ACC set at about 160 km/hr (nice cruising speed on the Autobahn), making lots of curves -and was not able to reproduce the slowing down, when passing (big) vehicles in the curves; car just kept the set speed when passing trucks, busses, etc. Are You sure it is not a sensor misbehavior (looking at the wrong angle) in Your car? I don't know the technique behind, but maybe a check of the ACC sensor alignment would solve Your issue?
BTW: swtiching adaptive off does not work on my car (L494, 2015) neither.
