Boot hydraulic keeps falling off

As per description, my driver's side boot hydraulic bar car Keeps falling off at the ball and joint socket to the car. I can push it back in and it's ok for a while but then falls off again, it's quite a pain to get back in and the boot is heavy, I'm worried it's going to happen to the wife and she won't be able to get it back in.

Anyone know a fix for this so I don't have to take it to the strealers for warranty work?

I would have thought that if its under warranty, that's exactly what you have paid for and should get it fixed or renewed.

Of course others here may know of a fix... Robin

Needs a new retaining clip, not sure if it comes as a separate part from a new strut.

Not an expensive fix Thumbs Up

Thanks for the advise Disco_Mikey!

@eaters - I completely agree with you, it is why I have a warranty. I just absolutely hate having to deal with/go to the stealers. The service is just terrible, wait time is always 6+weeks etc. etc. If I had a choice of a £10 retaining clip or a visit to the Stealers it would be the £10 retaining clip every time, just for the sake of my sanity.
