RRS 2014.
Last week the normally fine tailgate opened from the fob and when pressing the drivers side button and the tailgate button.
Now this week when pushing either of the 3 options it only clicks open but doesn't raise.

When pushing the buttons to close it, it does as it should.

Any advice? i am sure i read somewhere that you can set the height the tailgate opens to by a manner of opening it to desired height and a mixture of button pushing?

sound like you have a tailgate memory issue..

I did this on a 2012 and it works..

you just need to lift it from low down..

Mine does this at random times. It's very annoying. Sometimes it opens fully first time, other times it clicks open and stops, sometimes it opens a few inches and stops. Another example of a solution looking for a problem - manual tailgates are fine! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Actualy tells you in Owners Manual how to do it, that's if a RRS2 is the same method.

Manually position the tailgate where you want it when open, hold it in position for at least 3 seconds, then press and hold the button on the tailgate until you here a "beep" from the car, job done.
