If you're missing the V8 growl and a bit of pace over the SDV6, I'd consider spending that bit extra and getting an SVR.

I know they're still quite a premium over the regular Supercharged but if you consider the depreciation then I'd wager you'll do better with running an SVR for a few years over a standard Supercharged. I've had both and in terms of overall enjoyment factor (rather than purely increased performance) it's well worth the premium.

275-300 miles I used to get between fill-ups in both the Supercharged and SVR.

I get the same in my current Supercharged Full Fat and am expecting for something similar in my hopefully soon to be arriving F-Pace SVR!

Absolutely. it will make the Boxster feel normal. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

Did my first long journey in mine today. Wigan to Benson in Oxfordshire; 180 miles, all but 20 of which were on motorway with the ACC set to national speed limit- returned 32 mpg. Trip back was horrendous, with standing traffic on the M6 virtually all the way from the Toll road to J23 at Haydock Island- the last 65 miles took four hours, yet still returned 28 mpg, so reckon 500+ miles range on a long journey easily achievable.

gents, after I complained about the inaccurate fuel level-range calculation when I dropped off my car for its annual service, I was informed they did a software update and it should now be more accurate.

I will monitor & report back. Thumbs Up --

Trust someone from Sleaford to pick up on that! Regular journey to see one in particular (and family).

500 miles to a full tank in a SC Rolling with laughter I doubt that very much,,you'll probably struggle to get that out of a 3.0 diesel. Andy.

Shouldn't be a problem on long motorway journeys. Fuel tank is bigger than a 3.0 diesel's. Even at a 23 mpg average, you'll pass the 500 mile range mark.

I remember that the GAP tool had a calibration option for the fuel consumption figures, but I looked everywhere and cannot find it under the options!? Question --

So after complaining numerous times about the inaccurate Range calculation, the dealer, changed the fuel sender unit, and... made the problem worse, because now the Fuel Gauge is not reading accurately!!! Rolling Eyes

When I filled up after the new sender was installed, the gauge didn't go to Full, it sat about 1/1.5 bars lower than Full.

On the subsequent fillup, I told the petrol attendant to fill up until the auto shut-off, and then he only managed to an extra 1.2L in until the tank was full to the brim, and STILL the gauge didn't go to Full. So the gauge is not showing the correct amount of fuel in the tank. In fact, when I switched on the car, the needle was fluctuating around the Full mark, and I had to switch off and switch back on for the needle to stay stable Censored

Anyway, car is now back at the dealer, the workshop foreman think they might have dislodged one of the floats, which means dropping the whole tank and that's not a quick or easy job. Confused --

Absolutely, I've averaged 25.8mpg from my 3.0 TDV6 over the last 14k miles, I average about 370 to a tank before filling up again, though I never see the fuel light, so have a fair bit to go I suppose.

Hasn't the SVR got a 20 gallon tank, if so the consumption is more like 20mpg.

all the best

feedback from the stealer:

"They tested the floats by filling your vehicle to the top and 1 of them is showing a faulty reading.

We ordered a new float but the parts are on backorder." --
