It's finally happened.., Richmond Council have just trippled parking permit costs for "heavy polluting" vehicles. That's an increase from £95 to £300, and other London Boroughs will apparently follow suit. I always thought we paid central government to deal with the bigger political issues, like global warming, and leave the megalomaniacs of local government to empty our bins? Yeah, I'm sure this £205 tax will save the ozone layer, and bet the little Hitlers of Richmond will sleep happily in their beds tonight??? I just hope the Mayor of Richmond follows this noble example and gets chauferred about in a Smart car? Oh dear, it looks like the loonies of London are running the asylum??? |

Yes the looney Lib Dems - I read that when they did a poll of local residents they only asked people in the age group of 17-35 knowing that this would show a majority in favour of their plans. Just shows how easily things are rigged.

Looks like Richmond council should end up going on holiday with North Wales Constabulary... they'd have a great time (and if we found out where they were we could drop bombs on them).

You must remember that the Peugeot in front probably doesnt have an MOT or tax and the driver has no license and insurance, so therefore this is classed as ok because its not a 4X4, as we all do things by the book we get shafted, and made to feel like criminals.
