I got my 12MY autobiography just over a week ago and am starting to feel my way around.

One thing I noticed when reading the manual is that it should have remote heating control (this is confirmed in Topix with "Park heating w/remote control". I have been using the timed heating facility and that works just fine.

The car didn't come with a remote fob as described in the manual so the trader i bought the car from ordered one for me. It arrived today.

Now, i understand that it has to be programmed to the car. Is this something i can do myself or must i take it to a LR dealer? Reading about it, it seems there should be a receiver box in the boot somewhere and that i should disconnect the power, reconnect and then push the on button on the remote. Is that right?

Anyone done what I'm trying to do?

Its definitely something you can do yourself - I just cant remember how

remove fuse 2 - ( engine bay fuse box ) put it back in & then press & hold the OFF button on the remote  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Another recommendation for Bodsy from me.

He programmed the timed heating to work and also fitted the remote control option.
