Tim,,the snow foam lance that comes standard with the Karcher washer isn’t up to much really, you need a proper lance something like this

Bloody stuff stays on the drive for ages Laughing Good stuff though.

+1 for magifoam, here's a few pictures of the Scooby taken before and after using magifoam, no hand washing, just a power wash after the snowfoam had done its thing.

Nice Hawkeye Cool

Yeah if the muck isn`t baked on too bad I can get away with a quick snow foam and rinse too Thumbs Up But mine is silver and a bit more forgiving than darker colours. Steve.

Lot of conjecture on the best approach ie, snowfoam onto a dry dirty car or power wash the car first to get rid of the loose muck then snowfoam. I use the second method but each to his own. Don't think there is a definitive method. Very Happy

I do the same as you ^^^^^ but, would the foam stick better to a dry car and then remove the dirt more efficiently? It`s a conundrum Laughing Steve.

I always spray foam onto a dry car then pressure wash off. The foam is there to soften and break down the dirt and after trying both methods I find the snow foam doesn’t tend to run off as quick if the car is dry before application.

Also it’s worth mentioning it depends on what polish/wax you have on your car to how good the muck will remove from the paint, mine is waxed regularly so any muck will come off easier, but I never let mine get too bad.It was only yesterday I mentioned to swmbo that the car needs washing & she replied it looks clean,,,,may be in her eyes but not mine,if she knew how much I spend on detailing products she would probably divorce me.

Devon,,do you use it in a snow foam lance or a pump sprayer.? Most of the guys on deatailingworld.co.uk recommend a pump sprayer as you don’t use as much product.I use it in a 7 litre pump sprayer, once it’s mixed to the right ratio you can leave in the sprayer the product you don’t use so the 7 litres usually does the RRS 4-5 washes.

I want to give snow foaming a try. Can you please guide me to the right kit and method etc?
Thanks
