That is easy to solve Buckster - come up for a holiday and get the car done at the same time as the Scottish Green Road Club has one of their driving days on and combine the two............. Forest Enterprise also have some fantastic log cabins in stunningly beautiful locations for rental if you don’t fancy camping too.
SGRC days are family days outbon mostlybprivate roads behind locked gates ( due to Scottish land access laws we cannot just push off off road up here) with all the right permits and permissions. 430 for lifetime membership and £10 per offroad day to pay for the cost of running the events. Kids and dogs are also welcome! Events are also non-damaging, we don’t do muddy stuff or drive through gorse bushes or brambles! But being gravel tracks mostly your car will get covered in dust at this time of year and there is still snow around if you get high enough up to,some of the wind Farms! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Out first 8HP gearbox flush with the new machine.

The official service recommendation from ZF is between 50-75k miles, with this Discovery having covered 83k miles, the difference in the condition of oil is clear to see.

Now good for the next 75k miles!

Mine has just hit 70k - time to book a flush methinks. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

So are these mega flushes really a mileage thing, not an age thing? Mine's coming up to 8 years old and 35,000 miles. Might I may as well leave it until it hits 50,000 (perhaps at 11 years old)? Question L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

Official advice from ZF is 8 years or between 50-75k miles, so it’s just about due by age Thumbs Up
