South Africa 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Siberian Silver

It's a 4Gb stick, with approx 15 folders.

The folder name comes up, but then there's an error message saying it cannot read the files. The same USB stick used to work fine in my previous Disco 4.

On another note, I took the Mrs for a weekend getaway. 300km round trip, sometimes at very illegal speeds, and the average consumption was 12L/100km, so looking at 600km per tank. Thumbs Up --

There are others who have had the same issue - IIRC the system doesn’t like certain formats of files - also in this car you have a Meridian system, wasn’t the D4 an LR branded Alpine system? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

weird, it's all in MP3. I'll try some other formats and see what works.

Yes, it's the Meridian system... the sound quality is amazing! --

ok, so I tried a different USB stick.

Thinking it was the high bit rate, I changed the format of one album from 320kb/s to 192kb/s, but it still did not play.

Needless to say, a FLAC file also did not play. Confused --

Was just initialising my IID tool with the new car, and got this error when loading the CCF:

What could the issue be? --

Isn’t IID Tool VIN dependant? You will need a new licence for it from the makers to use it with the RRS I think. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yep, I have a new license for it.

Everything else works, just the CCF not loading. I have emailed GAP for support, thanks --

guys, is it normal for the rear interior lights to be permanently on when the vehicle is on?

I didn't notice it until a passenger mentioned that they were on - these are the ones just above the doors. --

No but they have a delay then fade to off - I used to find mine were on permanently occasionally and the switch was set to on - small rear sear passengers fiddling I suspected, but I think that they are like the front ones in that if you lightly swipe the surface they are sensitive and can be turned on by that means too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

That's what I thought, and swiped to turn them off, but nothing happened...

Will try again when the car is running --

Ok, so this is the light in question.

The one light is always on, and then I touch the light, the second one comes on. But I can't switch it off entirely - is that normal?

Gents, am I correct in stating that if I press the Voice Control button and nothing happens, that this is not fitted to my vehicle?

Is there a way to enable this with the IID tool?

thanks --

Voice recognition is hopeless if you don’t sound like a horsey woman from the Home Counties............. I don’t know who LR programmes it to recognise but it isn’t any known Male with a regional or overseas accent. Had JLR been involved with developing Alexa / Siri Amazon and Apple wouldn’t have sold a single unit..... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
