range sport sport 4.2 Start motor replacement

Hi
I have a 2005 Range rover sport and think i need to replace the starter motor a google says that it could be 9 or 12 tooth how do i tell ? Can some check on topix? if so what info do you need would like to order before dismantling.

I think you need the 9 tooth one Part No. NAD500310 (New) or NAD500160E (Exchange). The 12 Tooth one NAD500240/NAD500320 was fitted to the 4.2 engine when it was fitted to the L322 Full Fat. Your best bet would be to email Dan at Duckworth's with your Vin. No. Not sure Topix will tell you much.
