United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Had to drive down to Gaydon this morning. The side roads around where I live were a bit slippy in places, but once onto the motorways everything was fine.

If I'm totally honest I think my old Freelander was better in the snow than the RRS. Maybe that has something to do with the width of the tyres. There were a couple of moments first thing where I turned the wheel and the car carried on in a straight line for a bit before reacting. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

hahah.. Laughing

Just been to visit a clients restaurant. Took the 335d like a mug.. powered it like normal on the clear roads, used my flappy paddles to keep in high gears on the snowy side roads, parked my car up right in front of the restaurant where everyone looked round, and led to all the guys coming to have a look at the new car.. (always good when that happens.. hehe)..

Had a nice dinner.. went to leave and the owner walked me to my car.. and waved me off.. and Censored .. grrr.. grrr... Censored .. stuck.. TC off.. 2nd gear engaged and power.. grrr grrr.. now sliding side to side near the impossible to see kerb.. and let go.. felt a right tit, cuz now everyone in the restaurant is looking thinking.. what a Censored .. Embarassed Embarassed

So back out comes Abdul to ask if im ok.. err.. yeah but bit stuck.. says to me to get out of the space (parralel parked) and roll back down the hill and reverse out i say ok.. try doing a powerslide to the right from stationery.. but not working.. the TC never actually turns off without fiddling with the I drive so im there.. throwing loads of slush about and not getting anywhere...

Abdul then summons two staff members, and gets the chinese guy from next doors chinese place to come and lend a hand to push me forwards while i lay on power.. end result.. loads of guys covered in slush and snow up to their waists and me out of the spot and now rolling down the hill backwards waving bye to them..

Bad end to a good successful night!! next time will take the A8 Quattro, or think about not selling my RRS prematurely!! Embarassed
