Just been to the garage due to the cloud of blue smoke I leave behind when I accelerate and they confirmed what I have suspected - weeping oil seal on one of the turbos! Many thousands of pounds for the repair but on a cheery note, at least they can replace a leaking gasket whilst the engine is out! Sigh!

Was there not something about a turbo oil feed/drain tube issue causing this, which was at one point a warranty repair, could be completely wrong though, sure someone will be along that knows for sure.

Take it to another garage before You commit to any repairs , I have the same car as you and I just had my second turbo oil drain pipe replaced .
The symptoms of this are excessive blue smoke when you boot it and to frequent dpf regeneration .
It's a common issue the second turbo drains to low in the sump causing oil to pool in the turbo due to low air pressure .the second turbo does not provide pressure until above 3000rpm. The cure is a shorter pipe that drains into The block not sump.

I had the same issue.

If you search for this problem then you should find that within a VIN series, there was a Technical Bulletin and as mentioned it is a matter of changing one of the vent pipes for the right hand turbo.

Not a cheap fix but, it does what it says on the tin and hey presto no more heavy smoke when heavy acceleration.

I think this is the one.

Just got my RRS back today after having the turbo return pipe replaced and i am glad to say i am now smoke free.

It’s more a piece of mind moment when you can put your foot down and not push out that hazy cloud of smog behind you.

Just picked the car up from the garage. Turbo pipe and compressor relief valve have now been replaced and the intercooler rinsed out; hopefully, this will stop the excessive smoke!

I have just had mine done too, and now all is well! No more people flashing headlights at me.

The car has been smoke free since the work was done. It also had a bit more go to it as well; this was probably due to the intercooler being washed out.

The garage said that if the turbos needed replacing, they usually change the pipework/relief valve as well to the newer specification. So if it had continued to smoke excessively after the change, then the chances are that it would indeed be the turbos.
