What to look out for with a used L494?

So, the Mrs has vetoed buying a drug-dealer car, so the hunt is on for an L494.

I'm not familiar at all with the new gen vehicle, so I would appreciate any help with this.

I'm thinking of the SCV6 instead of the V8, any one else here have one?

Hi,wokkaman has a 3.0scv6 on order but I don't think he takes delivery till may,,i don't know anyone else on here that has one.

more generally, anything specific to look for on a 2014/2015 model, if the price is right I may even go for the SCV8.

with the L320, I could have taken it to my indie for fixes/repairs, but the L494 seems so much more advanced, I'm not sure my indie will be able to cope with the electronics. Sad --

I may have a 2014 autobiography for sale in Fuji white with only 33k & LR approved warranty till june/july 2018.im just waiting to see what the new velar looks like as I'm fancying a 3.0sc version.It now has 22'' alloys on but I still have the 21's which are in the picture but been powder coated black with 4x new Pirelli tyres.Muddywheels will tell you how nice it is as he has seen it,,plius it has the cat5 immobillisor fitted for extra security.

only downside that I'm seeing with the SCV6 is that they do not come with ACE suspension.

Is this a recommended feature? or can one live without? --

I asked a dealer some questions about an SCV6, are his answers accurate? Especially the part about the suspension?

Q: Also, am I right in saying that the SCV6 models did not come with ACE suspension/Dynamic? Or was it an option and some models may have it? Finally, is it possible to fit 19" rims on this vehicle, or is the minimum size 20"?

A: Good morning sir, yes you can put on 19’ mags. Comes standard with ace suspension but is now called the arc suspension. --

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I have an SDv6 HSE Dynamic and the only thing I can see that is different in the spec between S/Cv6 and SDv6 is for some reason best known to Land Rover you don't get red brake calipers on the S/C! Everything else is the same for UK spec cars. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Unfortunately it looks like Dynamic was only added to the SCV8 & SDV8 for the South African spec, so not available on any SCV6 here.

Am I correct in saying that if Topix lists 'Rear Diff Open', it means the vehicle is not equipped with an electronic rear diff, and only has the centre diff lock? --
