So the 292 model was a Band I vehicle, £240 a year my road tax is. Registered March 2015.

There's a lot of ambiguity and incomplete/mis information in the responses so far. I'll try to clear it up for you OP...

Euro6 306hp/700nm engines started to come in from MY15.5 (March 2015) ready for the mandatory switch over in September 2015, so you will find EU6 in some MY15.5 15 plates, but not all. MY16 started Sep 2015 on the 65 plate, all MY16 cars are Euro6.

Euro 6 legislation had to be implemented by all manufacturers by the 1st of September 2015, which meant they couldn't sell anything 'new' that wasn't compliant after that date. LR started to make the switch in March for MY15.5, and by September they had everything in place for the MY16. So because EU6 was mandatory from September 2015, but LR started to introduce the EU6 engine in March 2015 (MY15.5), some 15 plate cars are EU5 and some are EU6. To confuse matters even further the LR website sometimes doesn't get the right classification for EU5/EU6 engine, so it doesn't display correctly for some cars, worth double checking though if it's a 15 plate car you're interested in.

So since mine shows as a 292bhp model but it’s the 185 tax band at 240 looks like I can safely assume I’ve got the 306 mode. Nice

I should also add that mines a hybrid. Not sure what the build sheet should say in terms of engine or v5 in terms of emissions to differentiate

I am registered with topix and can get my car up no problem but build date is being elusive...

I'm still none the wiser.

One section of Topix says my car is Euro5/6. Another section says it's Euro5. A search of my car on free car checkers, and my own insurance company show it as a 292 model. But I pay car tax at the lower rate.

I thought if it was the 306bhp it always had add blue for euro 6 emmisions.

Do they do the 306bhp version without add blue ?

This suggests I do indeed have the 306 Euro6 engine, which ties in with the tax band. Seems the actual registration as Euro5 or 6 is a bit ropey. I don't have adblue however. Unless there was some kind of crossover between 5 & 6 when cars starting getting the euro6 compliant engines
