Brake light switch

My brake lights seem to be staying on after I take my foot off the pedal, does my switch need changing or is there anyway I can loosen it up ?

Have you checked to see if the brake light switch is still in its correct position? Just wondering if it has become dislodged. The switch can be dismantled but great care is needed.

The brake lights though can also be illuminated by the HDC system and cruise control so you may have a problem with one of these systems perhaps? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Hello. My brake lights are staying on as above, I am happy to buy a new switch, and happy to fit it myself.
Is there a video or demonstration on how to replace it myself? Thanks
