rear parking sensors

My 2006 Sport has just developed an annoying habit - one that I have to rectify as I have to back into my garage at an acute angle with just inches off the nearside wall (wife needs as much room as poss for her fiat 500 in our small garage). The back parking sensors come on permanently when in reverse mode.

2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Cairns Blue

As Geoff says - common problem. The garage I use took them out and cleaned them all up during a service and this cured the constant beep. Not even a fault - just grimed up which is not surprising given where they're located. Barrie.
