The heated windscreen will soon free them. Winter tyres went on this week so ready for anything.

I don't have that luxury having bought a car that was intended for dealer stock in tropical London not Central Scotland, but come next winter I will have a car that will not only fit inside my garage but it will also preheat the cabin from the mains when the preheat timer is set thus saving petrol/ diesel and associated pollution (just shifting it to the local Hero-electric power station or wind farm!). In previous RRS's and FFRR's with cabin preheaters I could never get them to blow much warm (let alone hot) air from the vents after the timer had been activated, it was more of an engine pre-heater - anyway with the heated steering wheel and seats pre-warming the cabin wasn't really necessary. I found the Evoques system to be the best though - they have an electric cabin heater rather than using engine heat (same as many VW's) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |

My car must be missing some bits, I can't find a wiper park option nor, for that matter, can I disable the 20 minute wait to check oil levels on a recently stopped engine. Merc C220 estate Sport AMG

I’ve just looked at your avatar and you have a 2012? The option is on L494 models not on L320’s,what you do need to do is to switch the auto-on to off for the wipers so the motor doesn’t get strained trying to drag frozen blades across the screen. On L494 you selectthe car set up menu and scroll down to the winter wiper park setting and switch it on, the wipers will make one sweep up the screen and then park higher up the screen than normal and on the heated section. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
