Anyone insured with Land Rover? .. just got a quote and they're £270 more than cheapest quote in comparison website (Admiral) not adverse to paying the extra if they are worth it... ____________________

I just left LRI after 8 years and this year they wanted £250 more than the cheapest quote

Went to sponsors A-Plan as £250 cheaper is like having free car tax for a year Whistle

LR insurance under writer was Alliance. They done exactly the same with my BMW insurance which was written by the same underwriter. I jumped ship on both and went to Aplan via the Thatcham branch.

It's strange, my first year of owning a RRS is coming to it's anniversary so the insurance is due for renewal and i thought I'd give A Plan a call as i'd heard good things.

2 days later they came back with a quote of £1,000 MORE and two and half times more than what I found on comparison websites!! Shocked

I'm sure they're a good company and everything and i'm not knocking them but I find it very odd that just because I live in London and my 12 year old car is parked on the street, it caused a brokerage a problem?

Yet I put the same details in comparison sites and found 4 insurers all within £20 of each other (admittedly the excess was £400 more than the A-Plan quote)

It really is down to where you live, who you are, what you had for breakfast and what your favourite colour is it seems. 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue
2005 4.2L Supercharged Java Black - gone but was my first love.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?
