Upgrade leather car seat covers

Hi having been tempted after seeing some cheap 2012 new seat covers on eBay I decided to put a cheeky bid in and won them to upgrade my 2005.
I've learnt the hard way thinking you just took the old ones off and slipped the new ones on.
You have to exchange all the support plastics over which was a nightmare. Along with this you will need hog rings and hog ring pliers to attach them securely to the seat bases and backs. So the end result is brilliant in my opinion but be warned it's not an easy task. If your going to tackle this project take some pictures to assist as you strip the old ones. This will save you a lot of stress!

Well done - where's the pics - before & after. I was based at a JLR seat suppliers manufacturing facility for a couple of years, seat manufacture is no easy process.

do you know if the 2010 seats will fit a 2005 rrs electrically

From memory the electrics are not the same or the seat frame hole alignment, which I'm sure you could easily work around.
You also have to swap over and use your original seat belt tensioners.
Airbags can be different (wiring & socket) when you have full curtain airbags etc, but I'm sure someone recently has done this on here. John
