Incontrol & route planner set up - Help

I'm trying to set up my new RRS with the route planer app. When I sign in to the app on my phone I get the following message: "Sign in to your in car system and turn on the setting that saves your vehicle location".

I'm sure I have every setting turned on - any ideas?
Its very frustrating

It may be unconnected, but I started having difficulty with the route planner app., and eventually resorted to uninstalling it and then installing it again. This cured the errors I was getting.

Yes, well I'm sure I have.
It has my name on the nav display and my profile. but wont sync anything either

See my post above, and also, have you tried syncing from a laptop or computer? When my app. failed to work properly, I could do things from my laptop but not my phone.

Ihave just deleted the app & reinstalled it - same problem.

Whgen I connect from my laptop it says I have no connected vehicle & tells me to log in from my vehicle. I have done that but still the same issue.

Am I missing something here? How should I log in from the car?

May be a daft question, but have you had the original e-mail from the dealer which activates the registration in the first place? Have you tried deleting your account and re-entering it in the car? Have you downloaded the In Control Route Planner on a device other than your phone via landrover.here.com/index.php#home/0 and trying planning a route and syncing it to the car from that device?

Hi,

Have you set up your navigation account on the car - this is entirely separate from your In control account which allows you to control car functions remotely.

If the nav screen says "Hello xxxx" then you should be OK - you then need to log in with the same details to the nav app. DoNOT confuse the two accounts.

SWMBO has no problems with it on her D5, once we'd sussed out the above!

Thanks, I will try again but yes I have.
The car says hello with my name on the map but it wont ever synch any favorites or destinations etc.
When I sign in to the app on my phone or on the website it says it cant find the car or no car is assigned to the account. I'm at a loss. The dealer doenst know & I've been speaking to customer services who although helpful aren't getting anywhere either

Very frustrating
