Hi,
My RRS is on LR extended warranty. My question is do I have to pay for diagnostics, And if found to be a warranty claim, then I will not be charged £150 for 1 hr diagnostic investigation, however if the claim is rejected I will have to pay the 1hr charge of £150.
My last car which was on extended warranty and I don't remember being asked if I was ok with this diagnostic charge.
Is this the normal procedure.

What is the fault your looking to have diagnosed ? I had the same issue regarding a ARC bar leak - I said "you want to charge me £150 to diagnose a leak - I know I've got - the fluid is on my drive" - I said I will call LR assist & they can sort it for free - it worked - no charge  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Thanks for your reply. My fault is like yours easy to diagnose. When I open my boot lid I have got a creeking noise and juddering. The left hand side damper/ actuator is about to fail. All I wanted to know was will this be covered with my warranty. I did appeal to the service lady that a technician would be able to answer my question in 2 minutes, to her credit, common sense prevailed and when I demonstrated the fault to the technician, you guessed it it was smooth and silent 😄.
I have no doubt it will return next time I open the boot.
