What have the Java black RRS1 owners here done to their motors, then? I'm thinking of making mine look a bit more 'stealthy'. It's got the chrome topped wing mirrors, grey side vents, grey door handles and grey edged side steps. I've got myself some new chrome 'range rover' lettering for the front. Was thinking about doing everything else in Java black but reckon the side steps would look out of place then. Thinking of black/chrome/black autobiography side vents to leave a bit of chrome on the sides and replace everything else with black.

Anyone out there done similar? Not after spending silly money on conversions, just some bits and bobs I can replace each month to sleek up the exterior a bit. Also I've seen both door handle skins and covers. Skins seem to be a proper job rather than bodging with a stick on cover? Powerful uk have an advert for Java black skins on eBay but they're actually adhesive covers. Weird.

I also like the look of powerful uk front grilles, the ones that fit straight onto the sport. Anyone used those?

Chrome wing mirror covers are one of the worst mods IMO ( apologies if it offends ) i would change them to Java - the door handles are grey to match the lower door mouldings - lower bumpers & side vent - front grill surrounds. Does your RRS have the door handle skins or one piece - you can get the new complete handles in Java for about £70 - takes about 1hr to swap them all over
I'd swap wing mirrors & door handles - the lettering may look too blingy if its the shiny chrome do you have a pic or link to the front grill ?

Yeah here's the link to the grille and side vents. Quite a nice balance between black and chrome IMO. I'd like to keep a bit of chrome or grey somewhere on the sides to match the steps. I think these provide that: http://www.powerfuluk.com/vehicles/range-r...black.html

I'm not a huge fan of the chrome wing mirror tops. Liked it at the start, now I think it adds to the drug dealer look the Java black tops are expensive for what they are. That'll be next month probably. It does need doing!

I'm not sure if they're skins or complete to be honest. Is there an easy way to check? 70 quid isn't too bad, I can deal with that. I'd love to replace the grey door handles that's for sure.

On a 08 plate should be able to change just covers.

Oh yeah another thing chaps - anyone know a good seat re-bolstering mobile service? Mine will need doing in about a year or so, don't fancy doing it myself.

Thanks for that. Same as mine looks like I'll need a new Land Rover logo for the grille as well. Probably silly money door handles and wing mirrors first then I reckon. Amazing how much you pay for shaped bits of plastic! Bring on the next generation of 3D printers I say

Seems I've got the the choice of black/chrome or black/silver for the vents and grille. The lettering for the front is chrome which I'm OK with, once the wing mirrors are changed it won't be too in your face. Not really a fan of grey lettering anyway. Probs go mainly black with small chrome bits.

Would be cool to see any pictures of what others have done!

Had thoughts of red lettering and red border grill with vents and black everywhere else, but seeing pics I think it's a bit much. Also had thoughts of replacing all chrome with black and de badging it. I think that looks decent but mainly when the headlights are upgraded which I won't be doing any time soon.

Safe option is chrome and black AB style vents + grille, black wing mirrors and door handles. Changing my mind every hour though!

Black wing mirrors and door handle covers on the way. Powerful UK didn't have any Java black skins left so they're adhesive covers. Better than nothing.

I've decided on black grille and vents too I think, with chrome lettering. If the lettering looks crap I'll replace it with some other shade. Not keen on the grey/silver at all though, looks better with no lettering IMO.

Black AB style grille and vents ordered too with smoked side repeaters. Looking forward to switching it all over!
