I would have thought that the thermostat is ignored when on max heat setting |

Is your water temperature guage rising to about midway on the scale or staying near to the bottom? |

it's staying near to the bottom and of course more so on these cold days. After an hours drive it was just under midway. 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography

Sounds like thermostat but -17C is pretty extreme. Have you considered blanking off part of your radiator to reduce cooling effect? |
