My 2009 RRS needs 4 x coolant hoses replaced and the front suspension wishbone replaced - approx cost
hoses - £360 plus labour
suspension £350 plus labour

Does this seem about right?

Appreciate any thoughts / advice

Why do the hoses need replacing?

So just had an update from the garage (all incl VAT):

Service £630

Apparently one of the hoses has burst and the others are all in a bad way
I had to top of the coolant approx 4 weeks ago but couldn't see a leak (I wasn't really looking for one tbh)

Rad hoses
Lower rad hoses £200.00
Mid Rad hoses £80.00
Mid Rad Hoses £75.00
Top Rad Hoses £52.00
Labour £150.00

Suspension:
Labour to Replace fr lower wishbone arms £225.00
Lower wishbone arms 2 arms @ 265.00 each= £530.00
KIT track rod and tie rods £230.00
Tracking £160.00

I'm not nearly clued in enough to assess the work myself - just what the garage has said

Any thoughts /advice would be appreciated

These all look like main dealer prices to me? A good indie would probably be about half that

I had a full geometry setup done on my old BMX X5, and it was just under £90, to give you an idea... You can't see the eyes of the demon until him come callin'

This maintenance is exactly the sort of work I would use an indie for at 7 or 8 years old.

I also get mine serviced at an independent specialist. The quality of their work is vastly better and somewhat cheaper than a main stealer. It's just a more personal, trustworthy relationship.
