Battery Voltage Reading

I bought at 2005 RRS TDV6 last week. Have sorted a few minor issues and its now running nicely.

I got a GAP IID code reader this morning (not the BT one) and am awaiting the unlock code.

When I plugged it in the car, it read 12.0 volts. Any other car I have tested in the past has shown
around 12.6v. Is mine low or is it a feature of the RRS complex electronics?

Many thanks

Phillh

It's normal for the IID to read a little lower though than the voltage at the battery. It's more accurate than the diagnostics screen voltage though (which is very poor), and there are various modules that provide a voltage live value, but for a genuinely accurate reading, you have to check at the battery with a proper multimeter.
