Hi Def SACD/DTS or .dsf file playback

ON another thread someone linked to downloading DTS music rips. I have got some SACD rips in .dsf format and trying to see how to get the car to play them.

Is it possible?

I have these as CD's and they play well in the head unit as CD's. I have not ripped them and cannot say if they will play as a file from USB. I did consider trying to load several Albums to a DVD but it all got to hard. The system does play the CD's in 5.1 and sounds fantastic. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Thanks for that. Did you burn the CDs yourself, if so what software did you use? MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

Yes I was able to get ISO files from the web some time ago, actually years ago when I purchased a Yamaha 5.1. Disc player. I had the disc's even though the player had stopped working. Just for some reason stuck one of the disc's in and discovered it worked. of course loading one disc at a tine is a PITA. Seems that you may be able to get these files playing using USB but looks like a lot of effort. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Good stuff I am interested if there is an easy solution. Did see on the other site where a poster was getting video onto USB and playing it with surround. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Hi,
If you use windows media player you can rip the cd's. Load on to a formatted USB stick and they will work.

ripping CD's is not a problem, we are talking about getting 5.1 surround onto a USB that is playable. My research shows that you have to have it as a video file , this all seemed to hard for me. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
