2012 tailgate retrofit?

I've been offered a 2012 tailgate in the right colour with struts and all, I'm presuming the tailgate would be a direct swap, but will the powered opening work?
I'm presuming I'll need extra wiring etc.
Has anyone done this?

I'd prefer to have the old split rear tailgate. If that was available in powered Aluminium, it would have been great. Sad John

I do quite like the split tailgate, but would like powered and I prefer the 2012 look. All these "kits" have the trim in the wrong place and I couldn't live with that.
