45 minutes until I go to get my first RRS!

Hi Guys, Just thought I would say hi - today has been painful having to wait but its having new LED headlights put on.

Always wanted a RRS and nearly made the silly mistake of buying an Evoque due to cost... decided to go 2nd hand and get a Sport. Cant wait to have a play...

May ask some silly questions over the next couple of weeks but have been answered aload already through search... I know it never goes down well on forums when you don't as a newbie Wink

40 mins now Wink

So I have been out in it since half 7 this morning giving it a good run... love it! Im going to do myself no favours here by admitting to this but since we had a lil one I have been using my wife's car which is a Peugeot 107 (I KNOW) so she can drive the bigger car (Peugeot 3008 - only slightly more credible than the 107)

Im 6ft 6 and have always wanted an RRS and said to the missus that if I decide to go self employed I am going to work my arse off and get one.

Long story short I looked at new/15 plates but wanted to keep the outgoings down because I am a contractor (meaning I can have periods where I am out of work) so I decided to get one I could buy out right... have a bit of fun with and then get a newer model once I have ran this into the ground.

Its a 2007 Autobiography.

It would be good to hear your thoughts - you can probably tell that I am no car fanatic from the fact I drove the 107 for 11 months but I have always wanted one of these and love it.

Sorry to be a bearer of bad news...........
It looks lovely but looks are deceiving as if you have a 2007MY car there was no Autobiography in 2007, highest spec was HSE or HST. Somebody has stuck a 25 ingot badge on the back. Worse yours is also rebuilt to look like a 2011/2012 Red Edition with the full L320 facelift body kit to make it look like a much newer car. I would have a very very close inspection of your car and check the VIN on the Topix website to see what the original spec was............... Was it a private sale or a used car dealer? If you were charged for a 2007 Autobiography then you need to check the price of a 2007 HSE as that is what you have purchased albeit with a heap of 2010/2011 and 2012 body panels stuck on it to make it look like something Land Rover nor any other specialist ever built............... It does look nice though. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

It's fairly normal round here.

Someone says, "I've just purchased an Autobiography"
Next, someone says, They never made an Autobiography in that year. Hope you didn't pay too much.

I'm fairly sure when doing a free check on an app or getting insurance you are told what the car started as.

What a waste of 90k then! 😉

No seriously I knew ehat it started out as and I think its just a good compromise for now... I keep referring to it as my first Range so she knows a newer one will be coming.

For now though im in love 👍

Im looking forward to cleaning it and shining it up... Any recommendations on brands/cleaning sets (would need the full kit as I have always took the other two to the local car wash)
