Oman 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange
Hella LEDaylight 4 DRLs

Well had the car in for a service and after they overhauled both the Supercharger and EAS Compressor with the requisite kits I got the folks to install the Hella's.

Have to say well happy with the result looks very OEM. The lights don't go out with the dipped headlights, rather dim themselves. With side lights on they are full brightness.

Enjoy:

Cheers Dan Thumbs Up

Well the Hella's on for a couple months now and was confused why they seemed brighter when turning a corner.. so on investigation I realised the mistake I made. Censored

Basically, the Hella's where mounted flush. unfortunately being flush meant they where approximately 15 degrees off being perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the car. Therefore the full light effect was pointing slightly to the side and not the front.

To rectify I got hold of Hella LEDayline 15s. These are 8 LED units angled at 15 degrees. Slightly larger, but here they are:

They now fit across the whole width of the 'air intakes' and are clearly visible duringthe day. My only complaint of note is that they are a warmer colour than the others but hey ho safety first...

Enjoy

MNK, sorry for the late reply I got side tracked. Anyway, I didn't install them the garage did and they unfortunately haven't got the instructions anymore.

Try a Google search and you should find the relevant Hella instructions though. But I suspect any LED DRL installation guide should work.

Regards

Andrew,

Ironically the Hella site doesn't provide the details of the LEDayline 4 DRLs that I installed initially and these had the dim function in lieu of the on-off most DRLs have
, and the the LEDAyline 15 DRLs have.

I've actually used the Dayline 4 wiring and connected the 15s to it so that I retain the dimming function when the heads are on.

Regards
