When car is unlocked the tailgate will opening randomly,if you stand by the open tailgate you can hear the electric lock activating, Car locked no problem, any ideas ? 2012 RRS. Orkney Grey |

The LR Service Agent couldn't solve the problem but after about a week or so of this driving me mad it vanished never to return .I thought it was possibly moisture ? 2012 RRS. Orkney Grey |

Good to know yours is now ok. - I thought the same as mine stopped doing it for a while, but now it's back!

Mine randomly does this too, you can be driving along and next thing it pops up a message to say tailgate open.....they are a pretty weird vehicle in fairness |

I imagine if the lock is opening its self, wouldn't it be the micro switch in the tailgate ? ( the button on the tailgate to open it) |

My old ('old' - 2016 plate, keyless entry) Skoda Superb used to randomly open the boot .. thankfully only when parked outside the house, rather than moving! |
