And DON'T use the fob, only for door touch button. The Fob can be snooped.

I thought the same re the jamming and maybe someone works for BT etc, however at 3:12 AM it would appear not as likely.

That being said, the car has been safe with no further issues. The CCTV is up which is good.

I truly believe that there was some scare mongering from the police, thats fine - at the end of the day its only a car and one cannot get too het up worrying if it will be there in the morning, if its gone, its gone.

Fingers crossed that doesn't happen, but if it does, I have GAP so apart from being a royal PITA it won't be catastrophic.

Thanks again for the advice guys, and as I said, even if it was a false alarm, it was a wake up call

When you or family use the car make sure never to just throw the fobs into a bowl in the hallway, especially not if you have a table that can be reached by fishing rod from the letter box................. I now hide all my keys (not just the RRS keys) in a proper lockable key box that is well out of sight but also easy for me to get at in a hurry if needed. I always worked on my Defender being more stealable and desirable to thieves than my RRS, but these days it appears that it isn't! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
