Range Rover Evoque Driver

Minding my own business last night and cycling home down Old Kent Road in London. Range Rover Evoque in video pulls out from KwikFit on right hand side of carriageway. He has 2 choices, he could go inside lane, in which case I was ready to check for a lane change to overtake or he could pull outside lane, which most people in London drive in. He might also have seen me, one would have thought and taken that into account with his lane positioning. Anyway, he chooses outside lane, so I continue and then he pulls a sharp left. Cue a shout from yours truly (apologies if you're offended by what I say) but then I pulled up and shouted some more at him (which I haven't included!). Gist of it was about using his indicators and he says he was, which he clearly wasn't Rolling Eyes

Anyway, take a look at the video and see if you can spot something odd about his car



(This is pretty normal driving for London, hence why I've got a camera on the front of my bike - for recording in case of an accident or for fun, as in this case)

Sadly that's a car type that I'm wary of, whether on bike or in a car. Cr@ppy rear visibility no excuse, and props for avoiding a spill.

thats sort of driving is why i preffer my mountain bike and been off road away from cars

What software were you using on this video?, quite like the speed elivation candence on it

Well even if he did indicate (which he didn't), it is no justification for such a manoeuvre. Using the indicator doesn't automatically entitle you to do whatever you want. You can't assume others will just change course/slow down/stop because your highness has declared the intention to turn/change lane ... you need to wait for people to give you way. Camera is a Garmin Virb and the software is their standard Virb Edit. You can upload FITs from a suitable Garmin GPS and then the software overlays, along with any other Ant+ devices.

Its relatively simple software though

Doesn't seem to be level ... a bit down on the driver's side. May be because rear driver side tyre pressure looks too low? Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Yep - in fact both driver's side tyres were deflated, probably can't see the front from the vid really. I'm guessing KwikFit couldn't fix them or wanted to charge arm/leg to...

He's a numptie as well as a tw@t!

I cannot see the video on the connection that I am on so have to summize....................... I have owned two Evoques and if the tyres are deflated that much for it to be noticable would the car still be legal and roadworthy, and still covered by the insurer? He was intentionally driving the car with seriously uninflated tyres that might have come off the rims...... From experience of finding one of my Evoques tyres damaged with a huge slash in the inside of the sidewall, the Conti's fitted to 20" Evoque wheels are £350 a pop. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
