Dustless Brake Pads - Is there such a thing

Having found a crack in one of my front brake rotors I guess I had better change them - a set arrive Thursday.

Being professional I guess I had better get a new set of brake pads to go with the rotors.

Now the old pads were good, though they would fad when going down a mountain pass like Macquarie Pass near Wollongong but I can live with that - the thing that got right up my nose was the brake dust build up on the front wheels - clean the wheels and after a short drive they would be covered in brake dust.

So for the Aussies - can anyone recommend a brake pad for the RRS that produces minimal dust?

Thanks

Thanks for that - it has TRW pads in it now and they are awful for dust but they were probably not the dustless version.

I will chase up.

Cheers

I believe that Akebono pads are supposed to be very low dust

If you know what pad shape they are (every pad has a one) you could try Hawk Performance pads. I am currently trying to track down the shape number for when my RRS arrives, as I will be changing them immediately. I run HP ceramic pads on my Golf, and the amount of dust reduction is amazing. I know Hawk do list a front pad for the L494, but not rear pads ATM.
