Picked up my MY2012 a week ago, and found...

I found this cable in my glove box. At first I thought about just purchasing a 30 pin convertor to my iPhone 6, but then decided to treat myself by acquiring a Tune2Air bluetooth module. All good I hear you say. WRONG. Yesterday was the first real chance to explore my car, and imagine my shock to find that the vehicle has a USB and iPod unit in the cubby box, and not a connection for this cable. Am I missing something here, or is there another connector lurking elsewhere as yet to be discovered?

We live and learn.

That looks like the old style lead you needed in the earlier facelift cars, not to sure when may have been MY12 on it changed.

The connector for my I pod is under the armrest lid

It all works well- if it's plugged in that way

This cable is redundant..for me

I have concluded that this cable is redundant for me. We ask my brother and another mate if it is of use to them.
Cheers to all. J
