Hi I would also be interested in one if you get the kit sorted out.
Looks like a good mod to do, Last time home my wife was in Tesco's shopping and it was raining, she came back to the car and I nicely opened the boot from the button inside, she put the shopping into the boot and pushed the button to close the boot.
The boot started to close and she made a dash for the passenger door - just then the boot opened again, she went round and pushed the button again and the boot started to close - again she made a dash for the door as I was saying you must have a bag to close to the edge of the boot.
As usual she was not listening and went for it again, the same happened.
By this time she was dripping with water.
She got there in the end but she was wet - just thought I would share.
I know the mod would not stop this happening but I do not know why they did not fit this facility when built. Lot of Landcruisers now sold

Help! I don't get it! Why did your wife need a bag to operate the tailgate pushbutton?

You do not need a bag to close the boot but if a bag placed in the boot obstructs the door from closing it will just open again.

Ah I get it now!

The confusion came from your spelling of "too close" as "to close" and mean rather different things.

I am aware that these days spelling isn't considered an issue!
