Are all dealers of 2nd hand RRS supercharged crooks?

I'm looking to buy a RRS supercharged. However, after a search through auto trader and eBay all the garages appear to have terrible reviews. All the eBay sales are from garages with very little feed back, certainly no real sales feed back. And those that are dealers yet again reveal terrible customer reviews. So my question is, where can I buy a 2007 onwards sub 100k miles Supercharged for around the £15k mark without bumping into Arthur Daley.

It may be down to our expectations, but I think most, if not all, dealers are closely realated to mr Daley regardless of which brand they are selling! (My "recent" experience is Bmw, Mercedes, Porsche as well as JLR - all crooks😀) however "my" local
triumph & bmw motorcycle dealers are brilliant!

That's true about bike dealers. My experiences have always been good. I wonder if that's because it's harder to hide faults on a bike and usually the bike shop guys are bike guys too.

My bike experience (ongoing) is that the guys at a bike dealer are first & formost bike enthusiasts - it shows!

Yes, typically. They dont want to sell you some lashed up death trap, that'll spit you off a mile down the road.

^^^ couldn't have put it better myself! Thumbs Up But I'll give it a go anyway....

Yes I have had it with stealers now I bought 5 new Audi's 2 A8's 2 A4's and a RS4 in four year they were always top notch they couldn't do enough for me until I had a problem with both the new A4 only 6 months old and the new RS4 only 2 weeks old They couldn't run fast enough! Had to get head office involved I was told by the stealer it was my problem nothing they could do for me unless I footed the cost of course! I was lied too I had service managers refusing to give me their names!! The CEO was informed of why I will never buy another new Audi. I was invited to private launch invitation only event some weeks later by mistake I should think! I had a great time working my way through the guests telling them all the problems I'd had with the company right up until they had me escorted off the premises!! Rolling with laughter

JLR were the same tried to rip me off their on my list of NEVER BUYING another vehicle off them. IMHO they are lovely people to deal with as long as its all going their way and the cash is flowing in to their accounts. Go back with a problem and your lightly to come out with your trousers pulled firmly around your ankles with a red ass!

Rant over...... and relax Laughing Laughing Laughing Cheers Laurence.

Scotland 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

Just my experience, but our dealer, not LR was great! Couldn't fault after sales and the small amount of warranty work done. They are not all bad. However we might just be lucky. Thumbs Up 2015 RRS AB SDV6, Fuji White, Ivory
2012 RRS HSE SDV6, Sumatra Black and Ivory

Whatever did you do before computers and all these reviews ? Just find the car you want, check it out the best you can and take the chance like we all do..
The other thing, everyone goes on about service history, hogwash. Anybody can stamp up a book, can you trust it, really ?? You have to rely on the honesty of the garage main dealer or otherwise but with the difference in price from a car with fish or not !!
So after all that are they all AD's, what do you think.. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current
2009 TDCi 90 current
2018 Discovery 5 HSE lux current
1994 Dakar current

Understood, just some of the reviews are claiming that they have taken these garages to Small Claims court etc. I'd like to think you can trust a main dealer service stamp. Some are kinda obvious to stay away from, a small plot with a porta cabin, a sea of tatty cars and one RRS are probably best kept away from. You're right that in the end though, you pays your money you takes your choice.

I thought it just happened to me Shocked

It's a minefield so you need to buy with eyes wide open and get everything in writing because the salesmen will lie through his teeth and deny it afterwards. Make sure you know your rights and first sign of trouble follow them to the letter Thumbs Up

I usually buy new but have had so many problems I'm thinking next purchase should be off a forum enthusiast somewhere like here - not someone who joined and posted a few times but someone who's been a longterm member and obviously lavishes tlc and is a true LR nut. I'm now scouring defender and series forums for that reason Mr. Green Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!
