Auto Parking Aid

Quick question.

I didn't spec any of the optional extra parking aid when ordering my car (HSE Dynamic MY16) but I have an option on the screen under Auto Parking Aid - Auto Parking Aid Activation ON/OFF.

When selected to ON the little parking sensor light comes on.

Does anyone know what this is supposed to activate if I don't have any of the parking aid extras.

That's front parking sensors to auto come on when you approach a car when parking for example.

Yep that's right but there's a bug in the software that resets it to off at ignition cycle! So it's useless unless you enable each time you start the car!

I tapped a bollard because of this bug. Fortunately my front number plate took the impact. Do Land Rover have a fix for this? MY16 (65) RRS, HSE, White, 21" 507s, Pan/Black Roof, 7 Seats, Ebony/Cirrus, Surround Cams, Fully Color Coded

I almost hit a wall.

Nope - designed to be this way apparently. Then pointed out the manual (which is also wrong) and they're working on it allegedly.
