I have a 2006 Range Rover sport 4.4 HSE. I’ve been told by my local Mechanic I need a new air compressor (sounds like its working fine but doesn’t raise the car) I have been told I need different types/makes of compressor by different people. I’m hoping there is a RRS expert on here that can give me a definite answer on what compressor to buy. I have attached a picture of my current compressor, I’m guessing it’s not original as it says AMK 2012 on the sticker.

Also is there anything else I should check before buying a compressor, as mentioned it sounds like its running fine, however the car is not raising at all, its on the bump stops and is very bouncy, error message is "Susspenssion Fault"

Check for air leaks

It's quite uncommon for the AMKs to fail...

Ive had a little look around the compressor for leaks, didnt see anything. Will have a better look tonight. Hard to get under the thing with it being dropped so low. Cheers mikey

I have had another look at the compressor, I cant feel any leaks but I did notice a pipe above the compressor that isnt connected to anything (see pic attached) do you think this is a pipe thats come off or could it just be an overflow pipe for something?
