Yes and no Confused

Mpg is well below expected as you can see on my sig and dealer has failed to sort front foglight surrounds as agreed if I accepted silver roof rails in return Evil or Very Mad

DS is a great vehicle though spoiled by shoddy dealer again Rolling Eyes

I've fitted the Thinkware dual cameras now but GPS lock is not working and they're blaming heated screen but never had issue with Blackvues on previous RRS Big Cry

I really don't want to be a Victor Meldrew but it's everything I buy or use Banging Head Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Putting the dealer issues aside, hopefully you can start to enjoy your new DS now. Bow down I think you have taken on hell of a lot on over the last 12 months Paul, and as with any projects we take on when it comes to buying old properties, you are always going to bite off more than you can chew. Big Cry You only find the hidden problems when you start to pull things apart. So i'm guessing what with your properties and your new DS issues, it has felt like your whole world has fallen apart over the last 12 months. Rolling Eyes By the sound of things, it's looking like there is light at the end of your very long tunnel, and things will calm down a little, so you can start enjoying your investment and your new car. Thumbs Up Bow down

Hopefully Bow down

Local dealer rang today to say they've been instructed to sort foglight trim so may finally be able to end that saga Confused

Now got to sort Thinkware - they're blaming heated screen but as far as I'm concerned that's not fit for purpose besides blackvue worked with heated screen Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

It has to be installed nr centre of screen to catch usable footage - if I take it out of vehicle it locks quickly and will maintain GPS signal when placed back in vehicle but next time I start vehicle it can't find GPS Sad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

ady

how did you find the driving position going from high up to the 335 ? I went to look at the 335 touring last week and wasn't sure if liked being so low down tbh. ? (or I'm getting too old) I do 30k miles a year so the 335 does tick all the boxes tbh - just couldn't get my head around getting in and out of it lol

Hi Rob,
I drive different types of vehicles everyday, from cars to vans to HGV's, so i didn't find it a problem at all. Granted, it is nice to be sat up high, but i don't miss it. Ask your dealer for an extended test drive and mention to him/her your concerns. I had this for a full week.
You might have to dangle a carrot with your potential spec you intend going with for them to give you an extended test drive.
If you need any help, give me a shout. Thumbs Up

Not quite.... I have just been informed tonight that all my dealer options have now been fitted, and i have been invited down in the morning to give it the once over.

Then on Monday i am going down for a mock handover as i am officially having the car picked up by a transport company on Thursday morning to take it to http://reepdetailing.co.uk/ for a new car detail and the entire front end fitted with Llumar PPF. Then i will be picking it up from them on Tuesday 1st March. Very Happy

Laughing Even less now. Wink

No pics taken today, as they were having problems getting the paddle shift to work correctly with the new steering wheel. So wheel was in bits with no airbag. All the Alcantara & Carbon interior trim bits were fitted and looked really Cool

Laughing Laughing

They were expecting a straight swap with my steering wheel, for the M Performance steering wheel. First problem, airbag did't fit. Embarassed Now they need to reprogramme the new wheel with new paddles. Banging Head As with everything you change on a BMW. Everything needs programming to the ECU. Rolling Eyes
I'm not worried though. Laughing I have faith in the German engineers..... Bow down
