I spoke to the same bodyshop that Turk used and he has agreed £400. Apparently he does work for Audi and Mercedes so will get a few references from the main dealers. I may have to deal with a stumbling block if Farnells don't allow them to take the car prior to delivery. The quote of £800 from the bodyshop Farnells use didn't include the white bits and was just ridiculous.

Thanks for the info guys

Guys do the bonnet vents also need painting, or are they identical on HSE and the ABs?

Bonnet vents will need painting for hse to match hse dynamic and auto biography . ( it's just the surround around the grill part and not the grill part )

That's incorrect - the bonnet vents are already gloss black on all models. The mesh is silver and remains silver on all models except for the Stealth pack.

My HSE is booked in for the colour coding tomorrow. Is there a colour code or name for the gloss black? I think RRSMAN will have the answer. MY16 (65) RRS, HSE, White, 21" 507s, Pan/Black Roof, 7 Seats, Ebony/Cirrus, Surround Cams, Fully Color Coded

Hi Bluestone,

Sorry, not that I know of but I just told the body shop that I want to paint my silver bits to black as per OEM spec and they did just that. I don't think you should worry too much as there can't be that much variation in gloss black shades?

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

The name used by Land Rover for their soild black paint used to be Narvik Black, I don't know how they brand the black on their plastics though, matte grey used to be Brunel cannot remember what the shiny version was called but it had a name too and it wasn't "chrome". The Black painted bits on my 2014MY Evoque were all done in Narvik Black. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes but that's a paint colour for the car or roof not the plastic detailing "bits"
