2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Land rover button on my key fob sets the alarm off?

Recently purchased a 57 plate RR sport , I couldn't get the tailgate to just open the top part. Then I pressed the land rover button on my fob and I managed to just open the top tailgate. Then after a few days it would open the whole tailgate and now when I press the button it just sets the alarm off. Any ideas people?

I seem to remember the factory default is set on the Landrover key fob to open the upper tailgate - I am sure it can be reprogrammed to set the alarm off - you really need to look in the handbook - there is a good guide on the key fob & its functions.
