Low Mileage RRS S/C (7,500 over 3 year 7 month)

I've put a deposit down on a RRS Autobiog S/C, thinking its a good deal with such low mileage. I'm beginning to think it may not be such a great idea now though.

It is from the main dealers and will come with a 2 year warranty, so hoping this will mitigate the risk of corrosion/seals drying out etc if it's been sat lying around.

What are your thoughts , good buy or run a mile?

It wouldn't be my first worry as it is covered by a used approved warranty. I would I think it's very clean with that sort of mileage and I would enjoy the vehicle safe in the knowledge that you have got the best warranty available on it! Thanks for reply. I've read a lot of advice to be wary of very low mileage I was starting to worry a bit. I do wonder who would only drive 2000 miles a year in such a great car. Will post some pics when I pick it up Saturday. Cool

Hopefully someone will confirm if this is right but I believe low miles on diesel is more of an issue but petrol should be fine Confused

2 years ago my son bought a 2009 Grande Punto petrol with 4500 miles on the clock - 1 previous retired owner who did about 1000 miles a year. Lads had it 2 years now and he's done 18000 miles and apart from routine services only thing needed has been tyres and battery Thumbs Up

Half the cells were dead in the battery probably because it stood so much of the time and wasn't being fully charged IMHO Rolling Eyes

Anyway it sounds like a good buy Mr. Green Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

Thanks all, set my mind at rest as its my first LR, in fact my first 4x4.

I'm coming from a Jag XF Diesel Sport, which I love, but it's starting to get a bit older now and I mountain bike so I need a car that can cope with bumpy access tracks.

Looking forward to joining the LR club tomorrow and of course I'm still keeping a Jag engine Thumbs Up
